Adam & Angela’s wedding was a day I’m so thankful that I was a part of. From the song that Angela’s father sang during the reception to the moment when Adam saw Angela walk down the aisle, no moment was spared with joy and love.
I met Adam & Angela at their engagement session in the lovely downtown Greenville, which was a journey in itself, haha. You can view their photos and that story HERE. We had a wonderful time getting to know one another even if we got rained out a couple of times, lol! Also had a wonderful time getting Angela’s bridal portraits as well at the gorgeous Rock Quarry Garden, you can view those images HERE.
I spent the whole day with Adam & Angela, before they ever started getting ready until they were leaving the church. The day was full of surprises, and this dang southern heat (who knew it was gonna be 80+ degrees in OCTOBER?), but we pulled through and everything went beautifully. We started the day with everyone getting ready, taking their time and enjoying the day. Once we got to that, Angela wanted to have a first look with her dad in the sanctuary. I love all first looks and usually ones with the bride and her father are always a treat. This one was no exception. We continued the day with a beautiful and emotional ceremony that I will never forget. No dry eyes in the house, here!
Once Adam & Angela said their “I do”‘s, I just followed their day as I would any other wedding. Let them enjoy this joyous occasion with their friends, family, and church members all while documenting every moment 🙂 I’m not able to put into words how wonderful this wedding was, so I’ll let some photos from the big day do the talking.
Thank you Adam & Angela for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I am more than honored to have been documenting this beautiful day and the journey leading up to it. You two were absolutely wonderful and I wish you the absolute best in your lives together.
I love elopements, have I said that before? Pretty sure. I was contacted by Kelsey sort of last minute to photograph their small ceremony at our local courthouse. They had big plans on throwing a wedding for all of their family and friends, but y’all, and I felt this deep in my core, Kelsey said that they’ve decided to “Just get married and stop stressing about it”. She already had her dress bought, so they just went right along with it.
I met them very quickly before we began with their first look, which I ALWAYS advocate for. It was super sweet and perfect and Greg had the biggest smile on his face the whole day. Afterwards, while waiting for the official ceremony, we took some formals inside the building and right outside in their courtyard. They were called in began their lives together with the cutest ceremony and afterwards we done just a touch more formal portraits. I had only met Greg & Kelsey that day, but it was such an honor to have been their wedding photographer.
Here are some of favorites of Greg & Kelsey’s big day 🙂
Stunning couple, right? RIGHT. Thank you Greg & Kelsey for having me on your special day. I am so happy that I was able to capture these special moments for you all and wish you the absolute best in your lives together 🙂
I let Angela take her time on choosing the best spot for her bridals. She wanted something in the Greenville area, but still beautiful for her portraits. She texted me one day saying that she wanted the Rock Quarry Garden. Why I haven’t shot here before is BEYOND me, this is just a cute hidden gem! I literally passed it up on the way there, lol. If you don’t know it’s off on the side of the road by some houses, but it’s technically a Greenville, SC park. Lots of people have small wedding ceremonies there, many people go to have family portraits made, and even bridals. It’s actually quite beautiful.
If you haven’t already seen them, Adam & Angela’s engagement session was a DOOZY, lol. We battled the rain many times and struggled to get their session booked because it literally rained every single time we tried to schedule a day. You can view their engagement post HERE. And since Adam & Angela are FINALLY married, I can post these beauties!
We started scheduling for Angela’s bridals. The day was beautiful, the weather was warm/humid, but we were in the shade so it wasn’t that bad. As with all of my bridals, we were scheduled for two full hours of shooting, but that came to a close after one hour because Angela got too hot and started to feel like she was going to faint. This woman is a TROOPER though. She finished up a few photos at the last bit of that hour and you couldn’t even tell that she was struggling to stand. She’s amazing. 🙂
Here are just a handful of my faves from Angela’s bridal session!
Thank you Angela for allowing me to be the photographer for all of these moments! Can’t wait to post up the wedding blog post here soon 🙂
I had met Russ before our session together, but briefly. He was a groomsman in Ben & Karina’s wedding and are good friends of this lovely couple 🙂 I was suppose to do their 1st year anniversary photos this coming October, but since they were moving, they offered their session to Wanda & Russ for some maternity photos, to which I was happy to do. And while I don’t do it very often, I like to occasionally photograph a gorgeous baby bump. And this one was definitely a beauty 🙂
I met Wanda & Russ out at a friend’s home out in Traveler’s Rest, SC. I’m always sketchy about meeting people in places I’ve never been, but I was sent photos before hand and saw other photos, so I felt pretty confident. There were so many little gems and nice areas that made their maternity shoot together perfect. I felt like even though we were getting eat up by bugs and it being a tad hot, that it went great and officially took some of my favorite maternity photos to date.
Again, I had such a wonderful time shooting with Wanda & Russ and think their precious baby boy is SO adorable. He just turned one month old a few days ago! These are some of my favorite maternity photos to date and am so happy that Ben & Karina graciously gifted this session to them. ❤
I didn’t meet Adam & Angela before their engagements, it was a phone call with Angela and she booked right away ❤ So, we went ahead and sent over each others schedules for their engagement session. Everything was perfect until the day of, and it was, of course, pouring the rain all day long. Adam & Angela had some engagement photos done prior to booking with me, and wanted some sunlight and nice weather for these, so we rescheduled, understandably. So we did just that….and then again….IT RAINED. We met up in Greenville and it ended up raining on the way and was really cloudy. The radar was just all over the place, haha. Y’ALL, we thought that we were never gonna be able to get them done. It was very important for them to have their engagements done at Falls Park as it was where they had their first date and where Adam proposed. So, it was vital to find a time that was perfect. We finally picked another date and it ended up being great!…for about 45 minutes.
Before it really started, we saw this incredibly bright rainbow peeking in between buildings and trees, so we just HAD to capture it in a photo. It also had great meaning for Adam & Angela as well from their recent bible study in church. It was just meant to be 🙂 It ended up pouring the rain and we somehow managed to run under a bridge for about 15 minutes. We met a fun little family doing a scavenger hunt as well, and I volunteered to take a photo like I was zombie hunting with a giant stick. So, I’m forever in a random family’s scavenger hunt photo somewhere, haha!
We caught a break in the last few minutes to get some in front of the famous downtown Greenville bridge before it came an absolute DOWNPOUR. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ran so fast to cover up my gear in my life, haha. Luckily, Adam & Angela had park in a lot nearby, so we didn’t get too soaked. But, even though their engagement session was cut short, I feel like we got to know one another well enough that day and captured some wonderful images celebrating their engagement 🙂
Right after this last photo, it started pouring, and I do mean POURING. We were going to walk on the bridge itself, but we didn’t even get that chance. The rain was like, “NAHH, not today” lol. I’m so excited to be photographing Adam & Angela getting married next Saturday on October 6th, 2018. Their day is going to be beautiful and I can’t wait to be a part of it 🙂
