I don’t photograph prom sessions very often. Again, like I’ve said in the past, it’s mostly because I don’t get many requests for them. But I do enjoy it! It’s just like a wedding, it’s a one time (or twice if you go both, your Junior and Senior year) thing that you get to experience, so why not photograph it! And I’m a girl, so I’m a sucker for some beautiful people in gorgeous dresses and tuxes, haha.
Julie came to me saying that she wanted me to photograph her daughter and her date before their prom back in April, as well as her friend and her date. It was so much fun! We got to photograph them at the beautiful Milliken Park in Spartanburg (we planned on Downtown Spartanburg OR Greer City Park, but there were events happening at both places that day), and everything was perfect!
Here are some of my favorites from their prom session 🙂
I hope you kids had a wonderful time at your prom and wish you the best in your studies! Thank you for having me photograph these photos for you! 🙂
I’ve mentioned it before, and I’ll say it again…I’m starting to love senior shoots.
It’s not something that I am use to, but I do love a challenge, and we all need a good one every now and then, right? But this one is different because Hannah is family. She is actually the sister of Dylan (SEEN HERE) whose senior photos I done back in 2013! If you can’t see the difference, you may need eye glasses because yeah….you’ll see, lol.
We could’ve easily shot for another hour or so. Hannah was so dang photogenic and so easy to work with. I can totally see why we’re family, lol. And the location was at her grandpa’s (my great, great uncle) farm, which is where we done Dylan’s senior photos as well as an engagement shoot (which you’ll see soon 😀 ). We all love this place as there are so many memories from when we were younger, plus…it’s just pretty to look at, haha.
Here are some of my faves..even though I had to narrow it down to 8, lol.
I get pretty excited when I get to do senior shoots. Not even gonna lie. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone because it’s not something that I usually do. But since I’ve shot quite a few this past year, it’s becoming more comfortable and easier. Which is always fantastic.
Kelsey was amazing to work with. This girl, not only is she a stunner, but she works fabulously in front of the camera. You photographers out there know what I’m talking about when a senior or someone just, in general, “works it”. And she definitely worked it, haha. It was so much fun working with Kelsey and her mom. Actually booked her from Haley’s senior photos I done! They had some good ideas and were very open to trying anything. We shot these at Milliken Park in Spartanburg, which is a HUGE park and is gorgeous any time of the year. This is a great place to do family portraits as well 🙂
Here are just some of my faves from the session
I always have a favorite or two, three….okay, maybe ten (or all) photos from each session/wedding that I do. It’s inevitable. But this year, I think takes the cake. I shot so much this year that I love and absolutely can’t wait for what 2015 has in store for me!
I’m just going through everything that I’ve shot in 2014 and putting them up, no particular order folks 😉
Nathan & Krista were my first shoot of 2014! And it started off the year with glorious-ness and amazing photos with two amazing people! I’ve loved this photo from the moment it was created and it’s DEFINITELY one of my faves of the year 🙂 Continue reading
