I let Angela take her time on choosing the best spot for her bridals. She wanted something in the Greenville area, but still beautiful for her portraits. She texted me one day saying that she wanted the Rock Quarry Garden. Why I haven’t shot here before is BEYOND me, this is just a cute hidden gem! I literally passed it up on the way there, lol. If you don’t know it’s off on the side of the road by some houses, but it’s technically a Greenville, SC park. Lots of people have small wedding ceremonies there, many people go to have family portraits made, and even bridals. It’s actually quite beautiful.
If you haven’t already seen them, Adam & Angela’s engagement session was a DOOZY, lol. We battled the rain many times and struggled to get their session booked because it literally rained every single time we tried to schedule a day. You can view their engagement post HERE. And since Adam & Angela are FINALLY married, I can post these beauties!
We started scheduling for Angela’s bridals. The day was beautiful, the weather was warm/humid, but we were in the shade so it wasn’t that bad. As with all of my bridals, we were scheduled for two full hours of shooting, but that came to a close after one hour because Angela got too hot and started to feel like she was going to faint. This woman is a TROOPER though. She finished up a few photos at the last bit of that hour and you couldn’t even tell that she was struggling to stand. She’s amazing. 🙂
Here are just a handful of my faves from Angela’s bridal session!
Thank you Angela for allowing me to be the photographer for all of these moments! Can’t wait to post up the wedding blog post here soon 🙂
Since we’ve celebrated Bryson & Jessica’s big day, (You can view their wedding blog HERE and their engagements HERE) I can finally share Jessica’s bridal portraits. Granted, I could’ve shared them five months ago, but I digress, haha. We wanted to do Jessica’s bridals at Furman University, but the weather wasn’t kind to us that day and ended up POURING the rain the entire time. I made arrangements to have Taylors Mill ready for us just in case it did rain, so thank goodness for that! Not only was it raining, but it was SO hot and humid. But Jess did amazing! Taylors Mill is a perfect location for bridals and I’m glad that we were able to do hers there 🙂
Jessica’s dress was a classic white dress with a lace topper on the torso and sleeves. It was a perfect length to just twirl around in and enough to say she had a train. It was beautiful! Without further ado, here are my favorites from Jess’s gorgeous bridal portrait session 🙂
I love shooting bridal photos and it was a pleasure getting to shoot Jessica’s! We did end up cutting our time short because, lord have mercy, it was so hot, lol. Even so, we got some amazing photos and I can’t wait to work with you and Bryson again in the near future! 😉
Meeting Josh & Jenny was a whirlwind because of their distance apart. Josh was in Michigan working and trying to find a job in the Greenville area, so I only meeting Jenny at first. I was initially contacted by Josh because, as Jenny told me, he likes planning things out, so she just let him do it, lol. Which was a great change for me. I like speaking with both the bride and groom in the planning process, and there’s been times when I won’t meet the groom until the day of the wedding. But they were both part of every process every step of the way. It was just refreshing. Also? Josh & Jenny are just the kindest and sweet couple anywayyy, so they made me feel like I had the easiest job in the world. I also photographed their engagement photos, you can see those HERE.
I arrived at their gorgeous venue, which was Calvary Baptist Church in Simpsonville. I don’t typically enjoy photographing in churches due to the lighting, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were lots of windows in the front foyer and plenty of lighting showcasing them during the ceremony. It was a lovely day.
Josh & Jenny opted for a first look, which I always recommend, for that extra intimate moment together before the big moment. But theirs was just as wonderful as any other. I try not to intrude on their moment, so I keep a little bit of distance away if I can.
Without going on forever and ever, here are some favorites from Josh & Jenny’s wedding 🙂
I want to thank you, Josh & Jenny, for asking me to be a part of your wedding. It was truly a pleasure meeting and working with you and also meeting your wonderful families! I wish you both the absolute best in your lives together and marriage 🙂
I met Steve and Tricia at a Starbucks for a quick meeting before their date night. I’m pretty sure they were going to watch Wonder Woman and wanted to meet up with me for their wedding in September. They are such a laid back and fun couple and it was so easy talking to them. Steve was telling me how he proposed to Tricia and just listening to the way he talked about her just warmed my heart. Like…this woman was the love of his life and he was so ecstatic to FINALLY be marrying this woman.
Steve & Tricia were married on September 16th, 2017 at The Duncan Estate in Spartanburg, SC. Having an outdoor wedding is always so iffy because you never know about the weather, but it was SUCH a beautiful day. Tricia started her day with getting her hair and makeup done before getting to Duncan Estate and shared mimosas with her daughter and Steve’s daughter. MAYYYYBE a little more champagne than orange juice, but ehhh, who cares, right? 😉 I spoke to Steve downstairs while he was getting dressed and all he could ask was, “How does she look? She looks better than me, doesn’t she?”. He was just looking out and watching the people show up and sit down waiting for the wedding to start. He was SO excited and ready to marry Tricia. Tricia was feeling just the same. She got her dress on and watched their guests show up from upstairs.
Watching Steve and Tricia marry one another, like any couple, made my heart smile. His eyes just lit up the moment he saw her coming down the aisle and that light never left for the rest of the evening. These photos don’t tell the whole story of Steve & Tricia, but we know that I can’t post them all, lol. Here are my favorites and the best way I can show you their big day 🙂
Steve & Tricia’s wedding day was SO much fun, surprises, and love that I’m so happy that they chose me to be their wedding photographer. You guys are so beautiful together and I wish you the absolute best in your marriage and lives together. It was a pleasure getting to know you both!
