I didn’t meet Andy & Kyra until two day before their wedding as they live out of state…all the way from Kansas, to be exact. I had forgotten which state they were from and I had guess Arkansas (it was the “sas” ending that got me”) and Andy scolded me on the spot, haha. NEVER AGAIN GUYS! I promise 😉
I don’t think I’ve been so relaxed and comfortable around a couple that I had just met in my life. These two were ready to be married and to party and that exactly what they did. I met up with the guys downstairs from where the ladies were getting ready and they were just chill, drinking already, and watching some Kansas football. The day was going fabulously and everyone was ready for it to get even better.
They were married atop the stunning Glassy Mountain Chapel in Landrum, SC with their reception later in the day at The Davenport in Greer, SC. The views were stunning and the weather, although a tad windy, was perfect for their October wedding. Once Andy & Kyra were married, we hopped aboard their party bus and drove to Campbell’s Covered Bridge for some bridal party and intimate photos (which, were a lot of fun getting together, lol) and then partied some more on the bus. Afterwards, we arrived at The Davenport where the party was truly beginning. I’ve never in my life met a group of people who were down to dancing and partying for that long. It made for some of the best reception photos ever and I was even forced to get on the dance floor for a chorus of “Gangnam Style” haha. I even got invited to come to Kansas if I ever wanted to party, lol.
Here are (way too many) of my favorites from Andy & Kyra’s gorgeous wedding day 🙂
At the end of the night, Andy & Kyra got in the middle of the dance floor while everyone gathered around and watched them dance. I was TRYING to get photos of this, but was told to just enjoy the moment and it was okay not to get the full picture. So, I had my camera at my hip, and joined in with the awe of this lovely couple.
Thank you Andy & Kyra for letting me in to photograph this amazing moment in your lives. I wish you both the absolute best in your lives and marriage. 🙂
