We met in May 2013, ALMOST the same date as their wedding. We talked about how on that day a year from then, she would be a married woman and never imagined that a year would go by so quickly. I didn’t meet Adam until the day of the wedding, all of the details were between me, Joanna, and her sister. I had been speaking with Joanna over that year about anything with the wedding. She would send me texts about how excited she was for her bridals (because c’mon, when you see her and her dress, you’d be excited too, lol.), and just a countdown of the days until the wedding.
Their story dates back to July 2011.
Joanna was in the process of moving here from Georgia for a job and had been going to their church regularly for a month or so. One Sunday, Joanna and her mom left after the sermon so she could help her best friend do some shopping for her own wedding. She gets a phone call while she was on her way, from another friend that said “Hey after church this guy came up to me and said I will give you $20 for the pretty blonde’s phone number”. Well, of course, you have to know that she gave permission to give it to him! Haha. 15 minutes later she gets a phone call and the first thing he says is, “By the way, I’m not married”. Joanna’s friend had joked with her that he was actually married, so it was pretty funny that was the first thing he said, haha. They talked for a week and he ended up asking her out on a date that Friday night. And of course, you know how it went 🙂
Seriously, the cutest story in the world 🙂 And a beautiful wedding to go along with it.
Yes…those are sprinkles, haha.
I told you. What a gorgeous wedding! And what a wonderful couple. I can’t explain how blessed I am to have been part of this whole process. Her bridals, the wedding, everything was perfect for the two of them. Adam & Joanna, I wish you both the absolute best in life and love…you absolutely deserve it 🙂
