This was something new for me. I was nervous, but super excited all at once. It was my first elopement (courthouse wedding).
I immediately fell in love with Annie & Jordan as a couple. Knowing that they chose me from all of the other photographers they had considered to photograph this wonderful moment in their lives, well…that just made me feel so amazingly confident. And when I had told Annie that I had not shot a courthouse wedding before, she wasn’t even worried or had any concerns. I was so ready to shoot their wedding on November 11th, 2013.
I officially met Annie & Jordan on the day of the wedding at the courthouse (they live in NC) with a few of their family members to join in. Annie’s dress SO freaking adorable and I seriously want one right now, lol. The gorgeous cream color with polka dots AND it had pockets?! Plus her turquoise heels just fit so well with everything. Her style rocked my socks off. And oh yeah, Jordan is one fly feller, himself. Out of all of the things that were happening that day, he seemed so cool and just generally happy that he was marrying the love of his life that day. Nothing could ruin that day.
You must know that this face was because she had the wrong vows on her paper. Thank goodness for backups on her cell phone! Haha 😛
Sweetest moment EVER.
The kiss to bring them together for the rest of their lives 🙂
I have never met a couple that looks like they are so in love every moment of every day. No dull moments here folks.
These two shots had to be one of the most exciting moments of the day for me, (besides the actual wedding, lol) because it was SO cloudy that day. I had literally no sun until….this moment. God reached through the clouds and pushed the sun out for a good 5 minutes for the most glorious sunset/light. I was so giddy to see such a beautiful sunset for these photos.
These two gave me a little tid bit of information while shooting. They said that they dance in their kitchen (correct me if I’m wrong, haha) every single night. I find that to be the sweetest thing ever. Keep that tradition alive until you’re old and gray guys! 🙂
I can’t believe I was so honored to be chosen to photograph these two wonderful people. I would do it again in a heartbeat, the exact same way, every single time. Jordan & Annie, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and I sincerely hope you continue loving each other as much as you today 🙂
Until next time,
