Stuff&Things: Memories on a Monday

This post started out many of ways. I wanted to go out and shoot today, but I was afraid that I would’ve gotten lost in the jungle that is my backyard. And then I figured I might post about how to shoot wedding rings (with my own). Then I remembered, that since my fingers are too fat to wear my wedding rings, I keep them on a necklace….which is in our car…..that my husband is driving. Okay….strike that idea. I started going through my mountains of unused jewelry wondering if I ever wear rings, and apparently I do not, lol. But I came upon this little turtle…and then I smiled.

The turtle necklace was something that I bought for my husband at a Renaissance Festival while we were dating.  He wore it all of the time, until the poor little turtle’s head popped off (which is attached to the string).  For photo’s sake, I made it look like it was at least still a necklace, lol.  It was just something that I wanted to blog about, feeling nostalgic even though this was only 4-5 years ago.  And as I was outside getting the turtle necklace shot as well as this FINALLY gorgeous day (it’s been raining for three days straight here 😐 ), my daughter started running around our porch and we started playing.  It suddenly hit me, I will blog about my child today.  It’s a Monday (Olan Rogers reference, if you don’t get it, watch this)…..why not?

Nothing really much to say, but days like today make me realize how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family and to have this little turd in my life.  Yes, she is a turd…I have yet to meet a child who isn’t, lol.

Have a great week guys 🙂
